【CNBC】The looming office space real estate shortage. Yes, shortage

Up to one-third of office real estate could be wiped out, according to apocalyptic predictions about the emptying of downtowns and the end of much white-collar work in towers.
But the top tier of commercial buildings will face a shortage in the years ahead, with construction of elite Class A properties headed for a new low.

【CNBC】Mortgage demand jumps to six-week high as interest rates continue to drop

The average contract interest rate for 30-year fixed-rate mortgages with conforming loan balances ($726,200 or less) decreased to 7.41% from 7.61%.
Applications to refinance a home loan increased 2% for the week and were 4% lower than the same week one year ago.
Applications for a mortgage to purchase a home increased 4% week to week but were still 20% lower than one year ago.

【NAR】Existing-Home Sales Receded 4.1% in October

Existing-home sales descended 4.1% in October to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 3.79 million. Sales slumped 14.6% from one year ago.
The median existing-home sales price climbed 3.4% from one year ago to $391,800 – the fourth consecutive month of year-over-year price increases.

【Zillow】Renters Offered More Concessions as Market Stabilizes

Renters are seeing more concessions now than they have in more than two years, with 30% of listings offering at least one concession.
Forty-three of the 50 largest markets in the U.S. have more rental concessions now than last year.
Concessions are often rising most in markets where multi-family construction is booming.
