【CNBC】Fed poised to approve quarter-point rate hike this week, despite market turmoil

  • The Federal Reserve likely will approve a quarter-percentage-point interest rate increase this week, according to market pricing and many Wall Street experts.
  • A rate increase would come just over a week after other regulators rolled out an emergency lending facility to halt a crisis of confidence in the banking industry.
  • “This might be one of those times where there’s a difference between what they should do and what I think they will do. They definitely should not tighten policy,” said Mark Zandi, chief economist at Moody’s Analytics.

【中央銀行】112年2月金融情況

2月底全體貨幣機構放款與投資月增率(以成本計價)為0.43%;年增率由上月底之5.37%上升為5.52%,主要係因銀行對政府及公營事業債權成長上升。若包括人壽保險公司放款與投資,並加計全體貨幣機構轉列之催收款及轉銷呆帳金額,則調整後全體金融機構放款與投資年增率為4.28%,高於上月底之4.04%。

【公告】112年房屋稅 囤房將按較高稅率徵收

稅務局舉例說明,若有民眾在新竹縣持有6間非自住用房屋,修正前112年房屋稅每戶適用1.6%稅率,繳納稅額各10,000元,6戶房屋稅共計60,000元,修正後112房屋稅每戶就會適用到3.6%的稅率,房屋稅將增加1.25倍,每戶稅額提高至22,500元,6戶共計135,000元,房屋稅增加了75,000元。

【NAR】Existing-Home Sales Surged 14.5% in February, Ending 12-Month Streak of Declines

  • Existing-home sales jumped 14.5% in February to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 4.58 million, snapping a 12-month slide and representing the largest monthly percentage increase since July 2020 (+22.4%). Compared to one year ago, however, sales retreated 22.6%.
  • The median existing-home sales price decreased 0.2% from the previous year to $363,000.
  • The inventory of unsold existing homes was unchanged from the prior month at 980,000 at the end of February, or the equivalent of 2.6 months' supply at the current monthly sales pace.
