- Profit is still the top seller priority (52%), but it's cooled from 58% in 2025, as more sellers (36%) now prioritize hitting their target timeline instead, consistent with a softer market.
- Sellers overwhelmingly want maximum exposure: 74% say it's very/extremely important their listing reach the largest possible audience, and 45% call visibility on public sites like Zillow "essential." More sellers (69%) believe that hidden/private listings benefit agents than buyers (54%) or sellers themselves (58%).
- Floor plans and virtual tours have become baseline expectations, not nice-to-haves: 78% and 64% of sellers respectively call them highly important, and most say they're more likely to hire an agent who offers high-res photography (78%) or virtual tours/interactive floor plans (75%).
- AI use is now mainstream on the sell side: 84% of sellers use AI, and roughly two-thirds of AI-using sellers tapped it during their sale — mostly to learn the process (72%) and get market insights (70%). More than half of agent-using sellers now know or suspect their own agent is using AI.
- 38% of sellers cried during the selling process — higher than the 34% of buyers who cried during their purchase.
