【Zillow】April 2026 New Home Sales – Lowest For Any April Since 2022

• There were 622,000 (SAAR) new single-family home sales nationwide in April. That’s 6.2% below the revised March rate of 663,000. Sales of newly built homes were 11.3% below the April 2025 estimate, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.
• The median price of new houses sold was $422,500, up 2.2% from a year ago.
• The seasonally adjusted estimate of new houses for sale at the end of April was 489,000, a supply of 9.4 months at the current sales rate. This is higher than the 8 months in March and higher than the 8.6 months in April 2025
