【Zillow】August 2025: Existing Home Sales Roughly Flat in August, Up Modestly From Last Year

• Existing home sales declined 0.2% in August to a seasonally adjusted annual rate (SAAR) of 4.0 million. Existing home sales were up 1.8% from a year ago, according to the National Association of Realtors (NAR).
• Total housing inventory at the end of August increased to 1.53 million units. That’s down 1.3% from July but 11.7% higher than a year ago.
• The median existing-home sales price in August was $422,600,  up 2% from a year ago.
