【Zillow】PCE: Headline Inflation Cools Further in May But Core Inflation Barely Budges

- The Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) price index rose 0.1% in May. The index was 3.8% higher when compared to a year ago, down from 4.3% in April.
- Core PCE increased 0.3% in May and is now up 4.6% from a year ago, down from 4.7% in April.
- Annual services inflation eased slightly to 5.3% in May from 5.5% in April. The housing component of the index is up 8.3% from a year ago easing from 8.4% in April. The rent index was up 8.7% in May from a year ago, easing from 8.9% in April.
