【Zillow】Millions of Tenants Remain Behind on Rent, but Their Confidence is Rising

**Prior to the recently announced eviction moratorium extension, under our most open-ended scenario Zillow estimated there would have been an average of 473,000 eviction filings in July and August, down from an average of 577,000 over the following two months when the same forecast was run in March.

**In June, more than 7 million U.S. renter households repored being behind on rent, but Zillow forecasts that only about a third of them — some 2.7 million — are actually at risk of eviction.
