【Zillow】Neighborhoods monopolized by single-detached houses skew whiter, more racially segregated in all top 50 US housing markets

• In all of the nation’s 50 largest metro areas, block groups that are at least 90% single-family, detached houses are whiter on average than the metro as a whole.
• Among the nation’s 50 largest markets, the disparity between the overall share of white households versus the share in single-family-dominant enclaves is highest in New York: The metro overall is 47% white, but single-family-dominant neighborhoods average 74% white, a 27 percentage point gap.
• The Honolulu metro area is the most populous metro area where neighborhoods dominated by single-family detached homes are less-white than the metro as a whole.
